Projects always have to start with ideas. Brainstorms, notes , scamps and conceptual work are the first stage of any design project. Many designers nowadays have forgotten the importance of drawing and start work at the final stage of the process, namely artworking a finished piece on their computer. I always draw out ideas on paper and create scamps and storyboards for projects to get the ideas out there and articulate ideas in a more natural and free flowing visual manner.
