Hello, I read a question on Linkedin regarding your blogging and whether it was actually doing anything. I am pretty much in the same boat, I try to blog every couple of days about industry related topics, experiences with certain things and generally things from my portfolio. I am stiill experimenting with it but i am pretty sure that from both a human and search engine registration point of view that the if you keep blogging it will appeal to both people to read and get to you know you and the Google crawlers will soon pick up the fact that content is changing all the time and will need to revisit your website pages. This can really help the ranking of your website with Google by hopefully bringing a little traffic your way.

Keep it up!
