Ted Baker Limited Edition Christmas Bags

Articles & News No Comments

This Christmas most shops near me have been concentrating on putting up as many huge SALE signs as humanly possible and smothering the shelves in tinsel and festive decorations. It all seems a little, obvious. I have started to not notice it – Always there in the peripheral vision, it has become a kind of visual festive white noise.

I was pondering this when I spotted this limited edition Christmas bag in Ted Baker. Subtle, stylish with a lot of thought gone into a simple idea – resulting in a bag which you want to actually pay for – and something that also handily is nice enough to use as a gift bag to save on wrapping paper too…

This bag comes in two varieties: The normal bag as pictured, given away for free. And a special version where coloured LEDs light up the Christmas lights on the bag.

The bag avoids being cheesy and takes a simple recognisable Christmas motif and uses it in a modern way – rather than the bag being a piece of festive cheese it is very sleek and really compliments the Ted Baker brand. I love the strong visual style as well as the clear attention to detail that has gone into the bag. The handles make up part of the wire between the lights, and there is even a cheeky plug on the underside of the bag as a finishing touch.

This bag was designed by Ted Bakers internal design team. I hope they got a few extra mince pies for this one as it is a beautiful piece of design.
